5 Stars Another Great Movie Made From Game DVD
I really don’t know why a lot of the supposed professional movie reviewers gave this movie such a bad grade if your a fan of the games or not it still was a great horrific movie. To those who have played Silent Hill 1 through 3 we all know the basics of the storyline and of course with Hollywood producers there are going to be some changes in the movie that differ from the game. This movie storyline does seem to follow-up with the first except instead of the father you have the mother coming to Silent Hill to try and help her adopted daughter remember her past that she has about Silent Hill. Again if your a fan and played the game I’m sure we all remembered the Pyramid Head guy from the game he to will also be in the movie as well as a few other recognizable creatures from Silent Hill. The actors they got to play in the movie were great no complaints for any of them and the special effects were spectacular too. There is a great deal of difference in the picture detail and audio between the standard dvd an the blu-ray dvd
but I feel it was mostly the audio a lot of background noises and other things you didn’t hear before with the standard dvd you hear excellently with the blu-ray dvd. So if your looking for a good horror movie or a good supernatural movie this one would be a good dvd for your library..
2 Stars Silent Hill
I was not entertained….the premise of this movie, that some(how are they picked?) of the dead inhabit a world of horror manipulated by an omniscient evil entity is pointless and without hope. Story line was just not believable and left me drained, sort of like what a dementor is supposed to do to a person. Remember Fallen? that one left the same bad taste in my emotions. I believe in the struggle of good against evil but in the end one will win. Stalemate, and that’s what these movies are all about, is not an option.
3 Stars From console game to movie
This movie did okay from game to movie but still lacks the overwhelming creepy feeling you get from the game. I think part of that comes from not being able to interact with the movie whereas the game is controlled by the player. Good imagery, decent acting, creepy score but lacks that certain something. The ending of the movie was a bit disappointing to me.
4 Stars Great Game Based Movie
Many of the negative reviews for this movie center on how it doesn’t make sense. If you have ever played the game you would already understand that. It’s not so much about understanding the story as it is about realizing, not to give anything away, the entire darkness surrounding Silent Hill is a living hell created by the tormented mind of a child and the evil that was done to her. Silent Hill is one of my favorite video game series and this movie is a great companion to Silent Hill 3 (PS2). I would venture the guess that if you enjoy the games you will enjoy this movie. I think you will like it even if you haven’t played but just enjoy horror movies in general.
3 Stars Great movie, mediocre product
Film adaptations of video game franchises seem to take a lot of harsh criticism; right so, so most of them are cheesy and easily distinguishable as an attempt to make money off some dying game franchise, as opposed to an attempt to actually make a great movie that will be remembered for years to come. Enter Silent Hill, a movie that takes a bit here and there from a couple of the Silent Hill games, then says “You know what? Let’s just make something good; something we can call our own.”
The film doesn’t canonically follow the series. The film resembles the original Silent Hill at its basic plot, but deviates in terms of characters and certain events. This may be a good or bad thing for devoted Silent Hill fans; the story may be viewed as independent, or it may be frustratingly inaccurate. Characters from later games also make brief appearances.
The visual effects in the film are great, Unfortunately, there’s still a bit of noise/grain in the dark areas of the picture. It’s not necessarily distracting, just something I always look for, so I do end up noticing it.
The Blu-ray version doesn’t come with any of the special features the regular DVD version comes with, which broke my heart. I never watch any special features, but I feel entitled to them after paying nearly double for Blu-ray. It’s important to decide whether or not Blu-ray is important to you. Is the scratch-resistance and larger format worth the price? Unless your TV is 52″ or larger, you won’t need the larger format.
My recommendation would be to definitely get the movie, just not the Blu-ray version.

5 Stars I LOVED this movie!
O..M..G!!!! Hands down this funniest movie I’ve ever seen. Ben Stiller is the hilarious, even better than Zoolander. If you like silly, this is the movie for you!
4 Stars 3 stars out of 4
The Bottom Line:
A sly satire of the feel-good sports movie posing as a feel-good sports movie, Dodgeball suffers from a phoned-in performance by Vince Vaughn but otherwise features a number of engaging comic actors and scenes–not a great film, but certainly an amusing one.
4 Stars one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time
I loved this movie and I would recomend this to any Vince Vaun or Ben Stiller fan. this is a laugh a loud every minuet film and just written very well.
5 Stars Fast Delivery!

4 Stars Rule #1: Dodge This Movie
You can spot huge advertisement everywhere, “Another Big Hit Comedy From Ben Stiller” which made me actually believed this movie could be pretty funny and even good. And man was I surprised, it should’ve said “Another ‘I’m Pissing My Career Down The Sever’ Comedy From Ben Stiller”. Seriously, I used to like and wait something from a Ben Stiller film/comedy but nowadays they’re just not good. Last good film “from” Ben Stiller propably was Royal Tenenbaums from years ago. Every single crap he has done ever since has been crap in the meaning. Just for the record, the leading actor is mostly Vince Vaughn. The plot is thick, very formulaic and as easily predictable as the result of Finland versus England football match up. Acting feels like they only shot when it were Sunday. Okay it’s better to jump over what’s bad as I really didn’t like this movie at all. So what good there can be if… the one and only thing worth the while are the cameos from David Hasselhoff and Chuck Norris, which both lasts about 5 seconds in total. Rule #2: You can have a lot more fun with your own balls.
