Had I not been stricken with the flu over the last two days, I was planning on catching an early Friday morning screening of Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chin Li . Now that I've read the reviews, I'm sad that I didn't. Aside from the fact that it currently has a 0/20 on Rotten Tomatoes (can it equal or surpass 72 negatives out of 72 and take the One Missed Call perfect score award for 2009?), I can say that I haven't laughed this hard while reading bad reviews since The Cat And The HatShooter Blu ray
Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), a former Marine Corps sniper who leaves the military after a mission goes bad. After he is reluctantly pressed back into service, Swagger is double-crossed again. With two bullets in him and the subject of a nationwide manhunt, Swagger begins his revenge, which will take down the most powerful people in the country.

I rate movies by either its good, ok or bad. I don’t mind if things arent right. THe only times things should be correct is if its a bio or a history movie. But In terms of this movie, Shooter is a very great movie I was surprised on how good blu-ray looked. I noticed MarK’s beard hairs on one scene when the camera was focused on his face. Pretty cool. Overall the story of the movie was very good, did not get bored with it at all.
5 Stars They got the guns right
I loved the book POINT OF IMPACT and the character Bob Lee Swagger, so I approached this movie with a certain apprehension. A key component to this story is the guns, and if the guns are messed up then the whole movie fails as a cartoonish mess.
But they got the guns right!
That was one of the things I kept saying to myself as I watched the movie. In the extras I found they went to Front Sight in Nevada for technical assistance. I’ve been to Front Sight and those folks know their stuff.
Sure there were compromises with the original novel, but that happens in film. What was not compromised is the character Bob Lee Swagger, and to see him come to life on the screen was a big thrill.

An exceptional movie for blu ray. Is much better in blu ray than in DVD its a must have in your collection

This was a great action movie that makes you feel good about being an American. And you get to see lots of shooting and destruction. What’s not to love?

I need to add a positive review for this movie. It was definitely my second favorite movie of 2008 (I liked Saw V better). This movie has a lot of action and explosions in it and kept me wondering until the end. I really like Walberg and he does not disappoint in this movie.
